Deepest integration across all levels of frontline care.

Built into the working day in general practice, community pharmacy and practice administration. One documentation layer across all three, and every record is read and signed by a clinician before it goes anywhere.

Where we fit in Fit for the Future

Five chapters of the plan describe work we already do. Here is what we bring to each.

Chapter 3. Analogue to digital

Torinova started with a practising NHS GP finishing notes at nine at night, knowing the technology to stop that already existed. The plan commits to scaling ambient voice technology to lift bureaucracy and administration off clinical staff. That is what we build: the note, the coding and the letters, written while the consultation happens, in the consulting room, at the pharmacy counter and in the back office. We want primary care to lead the NHS on digital, and the NHS to stay the health system the rest of the world learns from.

Chapter 6. Quality

Torinova is built for QOF reviews. It picks up QOF indicators from the conversation while the patient is still in the room, and the clinician confirms them at sign-off. Every value it records carries the justification from the consultation behind it, so every point traces back to the care that earned it.

That matters to you at locality level. Indicators don’t go uncoded because nobody had time. When a practice’s QOF position moves, you can see why. And your registers for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, COPD, mental health and dementia reflect what was said and confirmed on the day. Consistent capture at the point of care is how variation narrows.

Chapter 2. Hospital to community

The plan names ambient voice technology as the way to end manual note-taking, letter drafting and data entry, and it gives community pharmacy a bigger role in long-term conditions. Both land on us.

Pharmacy First has already run 13 million consultations and is heading for 100 million within a few years, and the written record isn’t keeping up. A pharmacist treats a child’s ear infection, fills in a template with a line or two, and sends it to the practice. If the child comes back worse, the GP often can’t tell what was examined or why that treatment was chosen. As the service takes on more conditions and more prescribing, that gap becomes a continuity risk for the next clinician and the patient.

Torinova writes the pharmacy record, the GP letter and the patient’s copy from the consultation itself, on the pharmacy’s own letterhead, with the history, the examination findings and what was supplied. The GP gets something they can act on.

Pharmacy consultation, then drafted: pharmacy record, GP letter, patient copy. Then pharmacist sign-off, which forks to the shared documentation layer and to the pharmacy's own record, the pharmacy's own system. Where a pharmacy record goes Pharmacy consultation Drafted Pharmacy record, GP letter, patient copy Pharmacist sign-off Shared documentation layer As above Pharmacy’s own record The pharmacy’s own system

Chapter 4. Sickness to prevention

Prevention takes time, and general practice has none to spare. Nobody gets ahead of illness while the floodgates are still open: too many appointments, too much paperwork, and a list that never clears. Torinova takes the documentation and the admin off that list. Clinicians get back the time and headspace for proactive care: recall, long-term condition reviews, and the conversations that keep people well enough not to need an appointment. Accurate registers mean the right patients get called in.

Chapter 7. Workforce

The plan wants AI to be every clinician’s trusted assistant, saving them time and supporting their decisions. Today Torinova does the first part. It takes the typing off clinicians and admin teams so the day goes on patients. Supporting clinical decisions is where we’re headed, and we’re getting there step by step, properly.

Your four questions, answered

A loop of the four commissioning stages: 01 Needs and context, 02 Priorities and strategy, 03 Delivery and contracting, 04 Evaluation. Torinova: in every consultation. Better population data starts in the consultation. 01 Needs and context 02 Priorities and strategy 03 Delivery and contracting 04 Evaluation Torinova In every consultation Better population data starts in the consultation
01Needs and context

Do we understand our population, from data we can rely on?

Notes and coding captured in the room, confirmed by the clinician who was there.

Data is only as reliable as the note it came from. Torinova writes the note and the coding during the consultation, and the clinician who was in the room confirms them before they’re filed. What reaches your linked dataset is what was said and examined, captured on the day.

02Priorities and strategy

What are we prioritising, and how will we know we moved?

QOF captured at source, every value with its justification.

If QOF variation is on your list, Torinova works on it at source. Indicators are captured from the conversation as it happens, each one with its justification attached, so a change in a practice’s position is visible and explainable, not a number you have to take on trust.

03Delivery and contracting

Can we buy it, at the right scale, without inheriting a problem?

Per practice, PCN or pharmacy. Information governance settled before signing.

Start where the need is. Torinova is licensed per practice, per PCN or per pharmacy, and grows from there. Information governance is settled before anything is signed: we walk your governance lead through the architecture, data flows, audit logging and retention, in person. Audio is processed and wiped. Processing runs on infrastructure Torinova operates. Data is encrypted in transit, and the practice or pharmacy stays the data controller.

04Evaluation

Did it work, and can we show it?

Every record signed by a clinician, every action logged.

Every note and code is signed off by a clinician who has logged in under their own account, and every action is recorded. When you come to evaluate, you are reading records a clinician saw and approved, and your governance lead can trace exactly what happened.
